My interest and passion for cycling and road racing started in 1996, when I as a 4-year-old boy saw the former pro road cyclist Bjarne Riis win the world’s largest road race, the Tour de France. I was captivated and during that summer I started racing against the other kids around the neighborhood with stabilizers on my small bike.
During the years I've been part of different teams on EuropeTour including Team Roth, Vorarlberg Pro Cycling and Bliz-Merida Pro Cycling. Through personal experiance I have gained skills from international road racing.
In 2016 I had planned my retirement from road racing to focus on coaching others. By accident a friend called me and challenged me to do a qualify race for the Ultra Cycling World Cup (UMCA). With only 10 days of preparation I entered, raced and finished the race on the podium as youngest rider ever together with my crew. The Project Ultra Cycling was born. I'm not a road racer. I'm an ultra cyclist.
In ultra cycling it's not about the rider. It's about building a world-class endurance team that can deliver no matter what. It takes so many different qualities. Focus, innovation, planning, trust and team spirit. Project Ultra Cycling is about the thousands of kilometers building our unique high performance team.
